Hi, just left a link for neil for a sun position compass http://www.batsys.com/create-a-sun-compass.html which is very useful for landscape shots etc. For anyone not on or near uk latitude the web site http://www.timeanddate.com has equivalent info if you ever need it.
Knowing the exact azimuth of sunrise or set is good to know for a location. If you have a fairly accurate compass just read the bearings from the charts.
